I really enjoyed learning...not all classes, but anything to do with language (Lit, Grammar, Journalism) and people; I guess that was 'Social Studies' in High School (in college I took anthropology and sociology classes). I liked taking the drama classes and being in the plays (always the chorus line, never the star...I had one line, one time). The social scene at large was quite difficult...the saving grace was my group of friends---somewhere between nerds and freaks (my two best girlfriends from 7th grade I still see)---and a few really extraordinary teachers: shout outs to Mr. Diadun who ran the school newspaper: he let us play our records of '60s music and 70s rock (never, never pop) while we worked (the other kids hated it)---and bless his heart he let us eat lunch in the journalism room; Mr. Morse who taught a Lit class on SciFi and Fantasy; Mr. Haller who taught creative writing; Mr. Le Blanc with his vocabulary of the day...one favorite I remember was 'lascivious'...he kept us interested! Holy Crow...2009 marks my 30th reunion. ;-)
